How do I register with the parish? New members can register at the parish office during the week or by filling out a registration card found in the church narthex and giving it to an usher during Mass.
What is required to have my child baptized or serve as a godparent? Please contact the parish office for information and instructions on baptisms or serving as a godparent. See also our Sacramental Preparation page.
How do I register my children for Religious Education? Please contact the parish office for registration information.
I am planning to get married. Where do we start? Contact the parish office at least six months in advance to prepare for marriage in the Catholic Church. Please DO NOT make any formal arrangements or pay any deposits until you first speak with the priest.
How can I have Masses said for friends, family or deceased loved ones? Contact the parish office to schedule a Mass intention. The suggested donation for a Mass intention is $5.00. In accordance with Church Law, only one intention per Mass is permitted.
How do I arrange communion for someone who is homebound? Contact the church office to arrange for an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion to bring communion to someone who is homebound and cannot attend Mass.
Whom do I contact if I or a family member is sick or in the hospital? Call the church office. Depending upon your needs, a priest will arrange to visit you or your family member. The sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is available to anyone who may be facing an operation or a difficult illness.
How do I make an appointment to meet with the priest? Please call the church office to arrange a meeting with the priest.
What is the deadline to have items included in the parish bulletin? Items for the bulletin must be received in the office (email or hand-delivered) at least two (2) weeks before the desired Sunday bulletin. Announcements should be brief and are subject to editing by our bulletin staff.
How soon will I get my envelopes? Depending on when you registered with the parish, it may take a month or more before you receive your first set of envelopes in the mail.
How can I get involved in a ministry and how do I know which ministries need help? The church office can send you a copy of our current ministry brochure and explain which ministries need assistance. After you select a ministry, the ministry lead will contact you and discuss next steps. You must be registered with the parish and compliant with the Diocese's "Ethics & Integrity in Ministry" (EIM) program requirements.
Is childcare available during weekend Masses? Unfortunately, we do not have childcare; however, there is a "cry room" in the back of the church.
Who is responsible for making the church look so nice for each of the seasons? Our Arts & Environment Ministry is responsible for planning and decorating our church for each liturgical season.
What if I have an idea for a ministry that is not available at the church now? Many of our ministries began with someone identifying a need that wasn't being met. If you would like to discuss an idea for a new ministry, please contact the church office.
How do I get the church to help me financially? Please contact the St. Vincent de Paul Society at (512) 267-0091 (rather than the church office) to directly set up an appointment and discuss any financial or other assistance.
