It is time to sign up for DCYC (Diocesan Catholic Youth Conference) 2025.  It is one of my favorite events, and I highly recommend it to all Catholic High School teens.   I hope your teen can attend the coming DCYC in Waco on Jan 31- Feb 2, 2025.  It brings together about 2000+ high school teens from Central Texas Catholic churches.

Cost: $105 per person. Scholarships or Flexible Payment terms are available.

Es uno de mis eventos favoritos y lo recomiendo encarecidamente a todos los adolescentes de escuelas secundarias católicas. Espero que su hijo adolescente pueda asistir al próximo DCYC en Waco del 31 de enero al 2 de febrero de 2025.   The DCYC 2025 conference starts Friday, January 31, and below are some details you should know.  

Tentative Schedule:

Departure.  Friday, January 31 at  3:00 PM - Depart St. Mary's parking lot.    

Return.  Sunday, Feb 2 by 3:30 PM - Return to St. Mary's parking lot.

 

The conference starts at 7:30 PM on Friday and ends at 12:00 PM on Sunday.

 

Note:  Departure time is before LVHS's regular dismissal time.  Please make appropriate arrangements with the school.

 

What to bring:

THE NECESSITIES 

Personal toiletries

• Comfortable, modest clothes
• Comfortable shoes and clean socks
• Light jacket — it may be a little chilly during the evenings.
• Pajamas
• Medicines
• Bible and rosary
• A snack to share with your youth ministry friends
• Appropriate clothes for Sunday Mass
• An open heart and mind!
• Clear bags

OPTIONAL 

• A journal for prayer times

• A book of prayers
• Spending money — there will be several vendors selling items such as T-shirts, CDs, prayer books, etc

 

NOT RECOMMENDED
• Cell phones may only be used when your youth minister authorizes it or as directed by conference leaders
• Valuable jewelry
• Large bags / non-clear backpacks
• Grumpy attitudes!
